Race Description
The Oxford College Family Weekend 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is set to occur on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 8:30 AM. This event, organized by the Center for Healthful Living, promotes a healthy lifestyle on the Oxford College of Emory University campus, with the 5K race winding through the streets of Oxford, Georgia, ending at the college's quadrangle. Both competitive runners and beginners are welcome, and families are encouraged to participate in the fun.
Participants can look forward to a festive atmosphere following the race, including pictures with the Oxford College mascot, Swoop, as well as drinks and snacks for all. Registered participants will receive a running belt, and medals will be awarded to the top three overall finishers in both men's and women's divisions for the 5K. Parking options are available near the event, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Emory Oxford Campus Recreation, promoting healthy lifestyles among the campus community.
