Race Description
The Overdose Lifeline Outpacing the Stigma 5K Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in Indianapolis. This annual event aims to honor lives lost to drug overdoses while raising awareness about the ongoing substance abuse crisis. The CDC reported 107,543 drug overdose deaths in the U.S. in 2023, underlining the importance of this initiative which unites individuals of all abilities in a meaningful cause.
Participants will gather along a beautiful course winding through the Indianapolis Canal and the Butler University campus, with funds raised supporting Heart Rock Justus Family Recovery Center. This center provides essential recovery services for mothers and their children, aiming to keep families together during rehabilitation.
