Race Description
The annual race event "Out With the Old - In With the New" is scheduled to take place on December 31, 2024, and January 1, 2025, at the Rochester Avon Recreation Authority (RARA) Building, located at 500 E 2nd St, Rochester, MI. This two-day event promises a fun experience, featuring a 5K fun run/walk course that combines rail trail and dirt paths through Bloomer Park, making for a mostly flat route.
Participants can choose to race on either day, with unique finisher medals awarded each day, and an option for a combined medal for those completing both days. This year, the event introduces 'Cupless Racing', encouraging runners to bring their own hydration systems while offering single-use cups for those who do not. Registration is currently open, with check-in starting at 7:15 am each day before the race begins at 9:30 am.
