Race Description
The Ore to Shore is an annual mountain bike race set in the picturesque Upper Peninsula of Michigan, offering various distances for riders of all skill levels. With the HARD ROCK course stretching 48 miles, participants will traverse scenic trails starting in downtown Negaunee, which is historically significant for iron ore mining. The course promises stunning views of lakes, wildlife, and local mining history as riders make their way toward Marquette.
The upcoming event will take place on August 9, 2025, with registration currently open for those interested in participating. The Ore to Shore features different race distances including the HARD ROCK, SOFT ROCK, and several shorter courses specifically designed for younger riders and beginners. All races will begin and end at Lakeview Arena, ensuring a festive atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.
