Race Description
The 11th annual Norma E. Boyd 5K Race for Education will take place on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at the Fitzgerald Tennis Center in Rock Creek Park, Washington, DC. Hosted by the Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Pearl and Ivy Educational Foundation, Inc., this event aims to support educational initiatives for high school students in the District of Columbia, having raised over $98,000 since its inception.
Participants can pick up their race packets on Saturday, September 28, 2024, during the Health and Wellness Expo. The event highlights the legacy of Norma E. Boyd, a founding member of the Xi Omega Chapter, who dedicated her life to community service and education. The race serves not only as a competitive event but also as a platform to promote health and wellness within the community.
