Race Description
The 20th Annual New Mexico Farolito "Trail of Lights" 5K and Kids K is set to take place on December 14, 2024. This festive event will feature a stunning display of 2,500 farolitos, traditional New Mexican luminarias, creating a captivating atmosphere for runners and walkers. Participants will enjoy a joyful celebration with holiday treats offered at the finish line, including posole and hot chocolate, along with finisher medals and long-sleeve T-shirts for all.
Hosted at the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the event will kick off with the Twilight Kids K at 5:15 PM, followed by the 5K run at 5:30 PM. Pre-registration is currently open, and those who registered before race day will need to collect their packets at designated locations. The event promises a delightful blend of culture and community, making it a cherished tradition for many.
