Race Description
The New Year Day Race at Freedom Park in Williamsburg, Virginia, will take place on January 1, 2025. This family-friendly event organizes multiple race distances, including 1 mile, 5K, 10K, 15K, and a half marathon. Participants do not need to be members of the US Road Running Club to take part in the race, which also contributes points towards the US Road Running Race Series.
Runners will kick off the race at 8:30 AM, with packet pickup beginning 30 minutes prior to the start. The course includes an out-and-back layout for all distances, and runners are encouraged to wear costumes, with a special award for the best costume. Finishers will receive themed medals upon completion of their race.
