Race Description
The North American Canicross is hosting the RACE AROUND RED TOP on March 2, 2025, at the Iron Hill Trail Head in Cartersville, GA. This event features a competitive 5k canicross race and a 5k dog-friendly trail run, offering exciting opportunities for both seasoned racers and newcomers. Each participant will receive a logo T-shirt and a finisher's challenge coin, with the caveat that T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations after February 15, 2025.
Participants are reminded that all dogs running in the canicross event must wear proper gear, including harnesses and bungee leads. The race includes a notable 2-Dog Canicross Class with specific requirements, while the Dog Friendly 5k will be less restrictive. The event will host a rolling start with races being chipped timed, and safety protocols will be in place throughout the course. For those interested in camping, reservations can be made at Red Top Mountain State Park.
