Race Description
The Mineshaft 10k is set to take place on February 22, 2025, in Buchanan, Virginia. This race features a course that utilizes a portion of the Hellgate 100k trail, providing an invigorating experience for participants as they navigate scenic backcountry paths along the Glenwood Horse Trail.
Participants will face a challenging course that begins with a one-mile ascent on dirt roads before continuing steeply onto the Glenwood Horse Trail. The trail offers a unique opportunity to see historic mining areas and promises an exciting finish with a fast descent over the last stretch. Due to limited parking, the event will be capped at 100 vehicles, emphasizing the importance of carpooling.
