Race Description
The Midway Shelter Winter Run / Walk is set to take place on December 7, 2024, at the Harbor Bay Ferry Terminal in Alameda, California. This annual event supports the Midway Shelter, which provides emergency shelter for homeless women and children. Participants can choose between a 5k or 10k run, with the course offering scenic views of San Francisco and the Alameda Main Island along the waterfront.
In addition to the main races, a special Kid's Run will be held for children aged 11 and under, covering a distance of a half-mile. The event features packet pick-up the evening before the race at Faction Brewery, with race day registration opening at 7:30 am. Participants and spectators can enjoy refreshments and snacks after the races, including beer provided by Faction Brewery.
