Race Description
The Midnight Special 5K is set to take place on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2024, at 11:45 PM in Toledo, Ohio. This unique race invites participants to ring in the new year with a fun running tradition that humorously claims it takes 'Two Years to Finish!' unless you achieve a time faster than 15 minutes. The event will be held at Patron Saints Brewery, with the course being an out-and-back route along the University Parks Trail.
Participants are encouraged to wear lights as the course is not lit, and there will be no traffic crossings. The registration fee is $40, with discounts available for members of the Toledo Roadrunners Club. The first 150 finishers will receive a pint glass, and awards will be presented to overall male and female winners, masters, and grand masters. For those looking to celebrate further, post-race refreshments and adult beverages will be available for purchase at the brewery.
