Race Description
The Mental Health Matters Awareness Walk is set to take place on May 10, 2025, at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, VA. This inaugural event aims to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental illness. Participants of all ages are invited to join a 1-mile walk that encourages community involvement and support for mental health initiatives.
The walk will feature complimentary snacks and beverages for participants, and those who register online a month prior will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Registration costs $20 for individuals aged 11 and over, while children aged 10 and under can participate for free. The event is an opportunity to raise funds for Bacon Street Youth and Family Services, assisting them in providing essential mental health programs and services.
