Race Description
Registration is now open for the Main Street Donuts Shark Run 5K, which will take place in Matawan, New Jersey, on June 14, 2025, starting at 8:30 AM. The 3.1-mile run honors the historical events of the Matawan shark attacks in July 1916, which influenced the famous novel and film 'Jaws'. Participants can expect a fun-filled day with a 5K run/walk, refreshments, and special themed medals.
Runners and walkers of all ages are encouraged to join the event, which includes activities such as a post-race gathering featuring donuts and coffee. Each registered participant will receive a shark-themed finisher's medal and, of course, a delicious donut from Main Street Donuts. With stroller-friendly routes and a charity beneficiary supporting the Matawan Regional High School Performing Arts Program, this event promises to be a memorable experience for the whole family.
