Race Description
The Lauren Vaughn Memorial Foundation is set to host the LV5K walk/run on April 19, 2025, at the Alexandria Senior High School softball field in Alexandria, Louisiana. This annual event serves to honor the memory of Lauren Vaughn, emphasizing her passion for medicine and advocating for drunk and impaired driving awareness. Proceeds from the event will support the Lauren Vaughn Memorial Scholarship at NSU, aimed at benefiting future nurses in the Accelerated BS to BSN Program.
Participants can look forward to a 1-mile race starting at 8:00 AM, followed by a 5K at 8:30 AM. Awards will be presented for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as age group winners in both races. Early registration is encouraged as a limited quantity of medals will be issued. Those registering by March 31, 2025, will receive an event shirt during packet pickup.
