Race Description
The inaugural Loop the Lemur event will take place at the Ross Park Zoo in Binghamton, NY, on May 18, 2025. This unique event invites participants to run or walk laps around a designated loop within the zoo, all in honor of the beloved black-and-white ruffed lemurs. With options to participate for 6 hours, 2 hours, or 1 hour, the event aims to raise awareness for endangered species while offering a fun and engaging experience for all ages.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with the lemurs by waving, taking selfies, and possibly even hearing cheers from the animals as they loop around. All registrants will receive a custom event shirt and medal, and are encouraged to stay for a Tail-Gate Party afterwards. A portion of the proceeds will support the conservation efforts at the Ross Park Zoo, which is home to these critically endangered lemurs.
