Race Description
The 'Lookin For A Cure Houston' race is set to take place at Terry Hershey Park on November 2, 2024. This event is organized by A Cure in Sight and aims to raise awareness and funds for ocular melanoma, a rare eye cancer affecting approximately 3,000 new cases annually in the United States. Participants can choose to walk or run, with a goal to raise $20,000 to support research efforts in Houston.
Participants who register by October 15, 2024, will receive a guaranteed t-shirt and have the chance to earn a finisher medal, enjoy food and drink, and take advantage of aid stations along the route. The event will feature an early packet pickup option at Fleet Feet, which also offers discounts to race participants. The race day schedule begins with registration at 8 AM followed by the race start at 9 AM, with awards announced at 10:15 AM.
