The Van Cortlandt Track Club is excited to announce the upcoming Lettuce Run on Thanksgiving 5K, set to take place on November 28, 2024. This fun run aims to raise funds for the Friendly Fridge Foundation, dedicated to recovering and redistributing food within the community, particularly for those in need. With a lofty fundraising goal, the event promises to unite runners and families in support of this vital cause.
Participants of all abilities are welcome, with options for both a 5K run and a 2K walk, alongside children's races starting at 9:30 AM. This untimed fun run encourages community involvement, and all proceeds will be directed to supporting the Friendly Fridge BX's mission to provide access to healthy food.
