Race Description
The second annual "Let's Make Pink Just a Color" breast cancer walk is set to take place on October 20, 2024, in Morehead City, NC. This event features both a 5k and a 1.5-mile fun run/walk, aiming to raise funds to support local breast cancer patients. Last year's event was successful, raising over $38,000 with the participation of 400 individuals, highlighting the support from the community.
This year's event, organized by Brittany Kelley, a breast cancer survivor herself, seeks to build on last year's success by providing additional resources and support to those affected by breast cancer. The organization aims to offer meals and weekend retreats for families impacted by the disease. Registration for the event is currently open, and participants are encouraged to join in the efforts to assist the local breast cancer community.
