Race Description
On October 20, 2024, the Legends Never Die 5K will be hosted by the Madeira Beach Fire Department, continuing its mission to raise awareness for mental health issues faced by first responders, veterans, and active military personnel. The event aims to honor the memories of those who have succumbed to the struggles of PTSD and suicide, emphasizing the importance of support and community connection.
Participants in this chip-timed beach run/walk can register now, with special provisions allowing kids under 12 to participate for free. Early registration runs until September 11, 2024, with various fee structures, including a raffle ticket included in adult registrations. Proceeds from the race will support the Franciscan Center's First Responders Post Trauma Training Program, aimed at helping those in need within the Tampa Bay community.
