Race Description
The Lake Scary 5K is set to take place on October 26, 2024, in Lake Mary, Florida. This annual Halloween-themed race invites participants to run, walk, or roll while supporting a noble cause. Proceeds from the event will benefit UCP of Central Florida’s Lake Mary Campus, helping to fund vital therapy services and programs for children with disabilities.
This year's event promises exciting additions, including a spooky finisher medal for all runners and incentives for participants to dress up in costumes, with prizes awarded for the best outfits. Since its inception in 2012, the Lake Scary 5K has successfully raised over $80,000 towards supporting children with Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities in Central Florida, advocating for inclusion and awareness in the local community.
