Race Description
The 53rd Annual Lake Placid Classic Half Marathon and 10K is scheduled for October 12, 2024. This event is a significant part of the Lake Placid region, being one of the few not-for-profit running and walking events aimed at raising funds for community wellness initiatives and local youth programming.
Set to start at 8:00 a.m. from the North Elba Horse Showgrounds, participants will traverse a scenic route with two moderate hills along the way. Awards will be presented for the top three overall finishers and the top three in various age categories. Registration for the event is currently open, and it anticipates an average turnout of 550 participants.
