Race Description
On September 15, 2024, the NAB Community Recreation Center in San Diego, CA will host the "Kids’ Survival Skills: Disaster Preparedness" event aimed at educating children about essential disaster response techniques. This interactive class offers participants the opportunity to earn a Junior First Responder badge while learning how to safely handle emergency situations, such as earthquakes, wildfires, and flooding, which are relevant given the region's climate.
Participants will receive valuable materials including an emergency disaster kit, MREs, a medical kit, and a bandana. The event concludes with a fun moment where kids can enjoy making s'mores. Pre-registration is required, and those who need to cancel their participation can receive a refund if they do so in advance and their spot is filled prior to the event.
