Race Description
The 23rd Annual Kennekuk Road Runners Fat Ass event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. at the Hide Away Shelter in Kennekuk Cove County Park located in Danville, Illinois. This unique running event offers participants the chance to choose from various distances, ranging from 3.29 miles to 28.4 miles, with a total time limit of five hours to complete the chosen distance.
Registration for the event is currently open and is exclusive to members of the Kennekuk Road Runners club. Participants can change their distance throughout the event day and experience a local favorite, with the course comprising both trails and grassland. Additionally, the race encourages community spirit with a post-race party featuring food, prizes, and social interaction among runners.
