Race Description
The 118th Jackson Day Race is set to take place on January 12, 2025, celebrating the historical Battle of New Orleans. The event will commence and conclude at the Aycock Barn located in St. Bernard Parish, featuring a 9K course that traverses the Chalmette Battlefield, part of the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. This race is known as the third oldest race in the United States.
Race day activities will begin at 7:00 AM with packet pickup and registration, followed by the 9K run and walk at 8:00 AM. Post-race festivities will offer local foods, beverages, and entertainment for attendees of all ages. Registration is currently open, and participants are encouraged to register online for guaranteed T-shirt sizes, as supplies may not be available on race day.
