Race Description
The IPA 5K at Bowman Field is set to take place on October 5, 2024, at the historic Bowman Field in Louisville, Kentucky. This popular running event features a unique course that primarily runs on airport grounds, allowing participants to enjoy live plane displays and family-friendly activities. Runners can also expect an exciting atmosphere as they compete for personal records on one of the flattest courses in the city.
Participants in this year's event will receive an array of perks, including a race t-shirt, a commemorative medal, and access to Bowmanfest 2022, a festival featuring aviation and military exhibits, vintage cars, and live entertainment. Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers, along with recognition for the top three in various age categories. A free Kids Dash will precede the main event, ensuring fun for the whole family.
