Race Description
Get ready for a spooky run at the HOWL-O-WEEN Hairy and Scary Fest Zombie Run, scheduled for October 20, 2024. This charity event offers a 5k run with proceeds benefiting Lucky Dawg Rescue Inc., introducing a playful yet thrilling environment where participants will encounter zombies along the way. The event promises excitement starting with vendors at 1 p.m., followed by a dog and human duo costume contest at 2 p.m., leading into the run at 3 p.m.
Participants will receive flags symbolizing their health, mirroring a flag football game format, and must dodge zombies aiming to capture these flags. Individuals who maintain at least one flag throughout the race will earn a 'Survivor' prize, and teams with surviving members will all receive medals. Note that while this event is dog-friendly, pets are not allowed in the race for safety reasons. Join in for a fun and safe Halloween-themed adventure that combines fitness and fright!
