Race Description
The Hero Half Marathon, taking place in Fayetteville, Arkansas, is a fundraising race organized by The Spark Foundation in collaboration with the Fayetteville Firefighters IAFF – Local 2866. This community-focused event aims to support local organizations, enhance fitness opportunities, and foster a vibrant environment in Fayetteville and the surrounding areas.
Scheduled for October 12, 2024, the event includes a unique Firefighter Challenge for active duty firefighters, who will run the race in full bunker gear. Participants can also enroll in a 15-week training program to better prepare for the race, with personalized coaching and resources provided. Registration for the marathon is currently open, and participants are encouraged to register by September 14, 2024, to secure their race t-shirt.
