Race Description
The Henry Vilas Zoo is set to host the annual Run Wild event on September 29, 2024. This fundraising race aims to support African wildlife rangers in the Ol Jogi Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya. Participants can choose between 5k or 10k distances and will receive a t-shirt and a pair of socks, while kids participating in the Fun Run will also receive a medal.
The event will commence at the zoo, with the 10k race starting at 8:00 AM, followed by the 5k run and walk at 8:15 AM, and the Kids Fun Run beginning at 9:30 AM. Early packet pick-up is encouraged, starting from September 13 at the zoo's Guest Services building. All funds raised will support the zoo's wildlife conservation efforts and the vital work of the Ol Jogi Wildlife Rangers in Kenya.
