Race Description
The Hanging Rock 8 Hour Adventure Race, also known as "The Ocho," is set to take place on March 29, 2025, at Hanging Rock State Park in North Carolina. Participants will engage in a unique blend of hiking and mountain biking, covering a course that includes distances of 6-8 miles on foot and 12-16 miles on bike, culminating in an additional hike of 3-6 miles.
Designed for beginners looking to experience the thrill of adventure racing, teams of 1-4 will navigate through the scenic state park, collecting points from check points scattered throughout the trails within an eight-hour timeframe. The race offers an exciting challenge for outdoor enthusiasts while providing a safe and competitive environment.
