Race Description
The 38th Annual Grant G. Talbott Memorial 5K Run/Walk is set to take place on November 2, 2024, at the Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC) in Owensboro, KY. This cherished event aims to support the Grant G. Talbott Scholarship, which assists students facing financial hardships. Participants can register beginning at 7:30 AM on race day, with the race commencing at 9:00 AM following a point-to-point course.
With a focus on honoring Grant G. Talbott's legacy, who served as a counselor at OCTC and organized the road race from 1998-2007, this event not only promotes fitness but also community engagement and educational support. Awards will be given to top finishers across various age categories, and prizes will be drawn after the final finisher completes the course. Entry fee varies based on registration timing and participant category, making it accessible for many.
