Race Description
The Golden Grizzlies 5k/10k Run is set to take place on September 22, 2024, at Oakland University in Rochester, MI. This popular event draws participants of all ages and abilities, providing a scenic loop around the university's campus with a finish on the Elaine Leigh track facility. Medals and t-shirts will be awarded to all finishers, alongside additional awards for top male and female runners.
Registration for the race is currently open, and the event features both a 5k run/walk and a 10k run. Participants can look forward to a variety of post-run festivities, including music and refreshments from local vendors, such as the Motor City Mobile Coffee Bar, to help runners celebrate their accomplishments. All proceeds will benefit the Oakland University Cross Country and Track and Field programs, emphasizing the community's support for local athletics.
