Race Description
The GIRL POWER - Get Moving Duathlon, sponsored by Girl Scout Troop 109147, is set to take place on Sunday, October 27th, 2024, at John Paul Landing Park in Cypress, Texas. The event features a fun run-bike-run format designed for girls ages 6 to 14, with both short and long course options available to accommodate various skill levels. Registration is open, and participants are encouraged to come out, enjoy the competition, and support a great cause.
In addition to the duathlon, participants can contribute by donating essential items to the Beacon Homeless shelter, such as new underwear, undershirts, and socks. Awards will be given across different age groups to recognize achievements in both course options. Participants can expect a lively post-race celebration with various activities, and Girl Scouts will have the chance to earn fitness badges by joining in the fun.
