Race Description
The Friendship APL is set to host its annual 5K Run and Dog Walk on May 10, 2025, at Bur Oak Pavilion in Elyria, Ohio. Participants can choose between a timed 5K run or a non-timed 1-mile dog walk, with the unique option to 'rent' shelter dogs for the walk available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration opens at 8 a.m., with the races scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Fees for the 5K are $30 until April 1, increasing to $35 thereafter, while the 1-mile walk costs $20 and $25, respectively. The event not only promotes community engagement but also supports the Friendship APL's mission to care for animals in need, as all proceeds go directly towards the organization's operations.
