Race Description
The 9th Annual Friends on the Run/Walk event is set to take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in Philadelphia, PA. This event, sponsored by Friends In Pink, encourages community participation with both running and walking options available for participants of all ages. Registration is currently open, and adults can sign up for $25 or $30 on race day, while youth runners aged 5 to 18 can register for $20.
The race course will follow the scenic Manayunk Tow Path, starting and finishing at Green Lane, with the GPS address set to 4536 Main Street, Philadelphia, PA 19127. The morning event begins with the run at 8 AM, followed by the walk at 8:15 AM. Participants are invited to form teams in honor of cancer patients or survivors, and everyone who registers by October 1, 2024, will receive a giveaway t-shirt.
