Race Description
The Free Clinic Colon Cancer 5K Run & Walk is set to take place on March 29, 2025, at Linkhorne Middle School in Lynchburg, Virginia. This annual event aims to raise awareness about colon cancer and promote the importance of screening, especially for those affected by the disease. Participants can join either by running or walking to show support for survivors and those currently battling colon cancer.
Organized by the Free Clinic of Central Virginia, this year’s event has a registration cap of 375 participants, emphasizing the need for early healthcare access and colorectal screenings. The 5K race will start and end on the Linkhorne Middle School track, utilizing the Langhorne Road Bridge Trail Extension. Special pricing is available for children 12 and under, and participants can expect awards for top finishers across various age categories.
