Race Description
The Fox Valley Winter Challenge Trail Series returns in 2025 with a format that features 5K, 8K, and 10K races, offering participants a chance to challenge themselves across three different events. The series kicks off on January 25, 2025, at the Dick Young Forest Preserve in Batavia, Illinois, followed by an 8K race on February 8, 2025, at Oakhurst Forest Preserve in Aurora, and concluding with a 10K on March 9, 2025, at Hickory Knolls Discovery Center in St. Charles.
This trail running series is designed for both seasoned runners and newcomers, providing a unique winter experience with rugged trails and beautiful views. Each participant will receive a finisher's medal and exclusive winter-themed swag. Completing the entire series earns extra recognition in the form of combined medals and additional rewards, making this challenge appealing for those looking to embrace winter running.
