Race Description
The 37th Annual Whale Run & Walk is set to take place on March 15, 2025, in Fort Bragg, California. This beloved race, which was resurrected in 2024 after a pandemic hiatus, promises an exciting experience with a variety of distances for runners and walkers, including a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and a kiddie run. The event is part of the larger Whale Festival, which features a range of activities across the town, celebrating the local marine life and community spirit.
Participants are encouraged to register early, especially to secure a free T-shirt before the cutoff date of March 1, 2025. The scenic routes along the Coastal Trail offer breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the chance to spot whales. Note that while dogs are not allowed on the race course, they are welcome on a leash during other times on the Coast Trail. The race aims to promote fitness and community involvement while enjoying the beautiful coastal environment of Fort Bragg.
