Race Description
The Fischang-Cicchetti Memorial Road Race is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary with a 5-mile and 5K event scheduled for November 24, 2024, in Waterbury, Connecticut. Known for its festive atmosphere and pre-Thanksgiving spirit, this beloved race invites runners from all over the state to participate in the classic morning run, commemorating nearly five decades of tradition.
Participants can register online, with the first 200 registrants receiving commemorative short sleeve t-shirts. Pre-race packet pickup is encouraged and scheduled at the Greater Waterbury YMCA prior to race day. While there will be no assigned start waves this year, runners are asked to line up according to their speed. Awards will be presented for the top three male and female finishers in both the 5K and 5-mile categories, making this a highly anticipated event for runners and spectators alike.
