Race Description
The Feed a Veteran 5K is set to take place on November 9, 2024, at the Old Hickory Golf Course in Woodbridge, VA. This road race aims to raise funds to support homeless veterans in the D.C. area, who often face extreme cold during the winter months without adequate shelter or food. Participants will enjoy a scenic 3.1 mile course while contributing to a significant cause.
Besides the race, all participants and volunteers will have the unique opportunity to assemble and donate sandwiches and soup to homeless veterans the day after the event. The race features various registration options, including a 1 Mile Fun Run, and will be professionally timed. With a focus on community engagement, this initiative also includes assembling winter survival kits for delivery in December, ensuring veterans have access to essential supplies.
