Race Description
The Fall Backyard Burn Trail Run is set to take place at Lake Fairfax Park in Reston, VA on Sunday, October 20, 2024. This popular suburban race features a scenic course that showcases the park's beautiful lake and extensive trail network, making it an appealing event for both competitive runners and local residents alike.
Participants can choose to run either 5.1 miles (1 lap) or 10 miles (2 laps) on the mostly singletrack course, which includes about 300 feet of elevation change. Additionally, runners have the opportunity to support the local non-profit Homestretch during registration, with the goal of raising awareness and funds for their services aiding families in the area.
