Race Description

On October 26th, the city of Eufaula, Oklahoma will host the ENDUI Awareness 5K, the state's inaugural run aimed at combating Driving Under the Influence (DUI). This event, organized by the McIntosh County Coalition for a Healthy Community, the Pittsburg County Local Service Coalition, and Victims of Impaired Drivers (VOID), seeks to raise awareness about the ongoing issue of DUI-related crashes, which currently average around 150 fatalities a year despite a steady decline since the establishment of ENDUI in 2013.

Participants can look forward to an inspiring day filled with activities, starting with an opening ceremony at 8:30 AM, followed by the 5K run at 9:00 AM, a 1-mile fun run/walk at 9:15 AM, and a community walk at 9:30 AM. Registration fees are modest, with the timed 5K event priced at $25 and the fun run at $20, both including T-shirts for those who register ahead of time. The community walk is free, offering all an opportunity to join in remembrance of loved ones or to promote awareness about the dangers of impaired driving.
