Race Description
The EMC DAM to DSM is celebrated as Iowa's greatest running tradition, drawing over 130,000 participants since its inception in 1980. This iconic race runs from the picturesque Saylorville Dam to the vibrant downtown area of Des Moines, offering an experience for runners of all abilities, from first-timers to seasoned veterans.
Participants begin their journey at the Saylorville Dam, taking in the stunning views before heading south through the beautiful rural landscape of Polk County. The race culminates in downtown Des Moines, where athletes cross the Des Moines River and celebrate their accomplishments at Cowles Commons with a festive party awaiting them.
