Race Description
The Doggie Dash 5k is set to take place on October 12, 2024, in Rocky Mount, VA, marking its debut as a 5k event organized by Cornerstone Building Brands. This unique race invites participants to bring their canine companions for a lively morning of fun, fitness, and community engagement.
Alongside the timed race, the event will feature a 'fun run' component and various activities including a Dog Costume Contest and a Pet Expo. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Franklin County animal shelter, with participants encouraged to bring pet food or monetary donations to support animal welfare initiatives. Food and refreshments will also be available for both people and dogs post-race.
