Race Description
The Second Annual Doc Liebeknecht Scholarship 5K Run/Walk is set to take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Pennsville Historical Society & Museum. This event honors Dr. Liebeknecht, a longtime member of the Pennsville community known for his significant contributions to local healthcare from 1960 to 1995. Proceeds from the race will support a scholarship for a Pennsville Memorial High School senior pursuing a career in the medical field.
Participants can expect a scenic out and back course through Riverview Beach Park, with the race starting and ending at the Pennsville Historical Society & Museum. Registration fees are $30 for pre-registration and $35 on race day, with all racers receiving a t-shirt and a choice of a hamburger or hot dog during the post-race awards ceremony.
