Race Description
The DeSoto County Annual MLK Jr. 5K/Unity Run/Walk is set to take place in Southaven, MS, with the primary aim of celebrating unity among various ethnic groups. This event, supported by the Southaven Mayor's office and local communities, has evolved from a small walk into a prominent annual 5K event, fostering collaboration and recognition among participants from all walks of life.
Scheduled for January 20, 2025, at the Forever Young Multipurpose Room, the event not only promotes community harmony but also raises funds for the Precious Pearls Foundation. Proceeds from the run will assist in various initiatives including educational support for students and services for the elderly and veterans in DeSoto County.
