Cuyahoga Valley 5K and Family Fun Run at Old Trail School

The 2nd Annual Cuyahoga Valley 5K and Family Fun Run took place at Old Trail School on June 8, celebrating the start of summer amidst the scenic backdrop of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The event featured a cross-country 5K race at 9:00 a.m., with sign-in commencing at 8:00 a.m., followed by a 1-mile fun run designed for families and children aged 4 and up. Participants of all skill levels were encouraged to join in on the festivities.

The 5K course, emphasizing a natural experience, challenged runners with its wooded paths and hills, featuring an elevation gain of 112 feet. For the Family Fun Run, participants ran on a flat grass path around the school's athletic fields, allowing for jogging strollers and ensuring that every child received a finisher medal. The event received generous support from sponsors, making the running experience enjoyable and inclusive for everyone involved.
