Race Description
The Crooked Canter is set to return on November 23, 2024, after a year's hiatus, inviting runners and outdoor enthusiasts to a fun, family-friendly tailgate running event. This gathering will kick off at 9 am at Pinckney Recreation Area, specifically at the Crooked Lake Campground, where participants can enjoy a scenic 4.35 mile (7km) loop trail.
Participants can choose their level of engagement, whether running, walking, or hiking, over a variety of loop distances including 7km, 13.1 miles, or more. A bonfire will provide warmth, alongside refreshments like hot chocolate and hotdogs, while all finishers of one loop will receive a Crooked Canter sticker and a prize for the most loops completed. Special challenges such as the Old Dog challenge will also be part of the day’s festivities.
