Race Description
The Chicken Creek Challenge is set to take place on October 12, 2024, in Mancos, Colorado. This annual event features middle school and high school races, with middle school races covering a distance of 3.5 kilometers and high school races extending to 5 kilometers. Changes have been made to the race formats following requests from the Forest Service, and detailed maps have been provided for participants.
Races will begin early in the morning, with the first middle school girls' race starting at 9:00 AM, followed by additional heats throughout the morning for boys and girls at both middle and high school levels. The registration fee is set at $100 for each team. Participants and spectators are advised to follow specific directions to the parking area at the course to ensure a smooth arrival.
