Race Description
The Charles Bender Memorial Swim and Relay will take place on September 7, 2025, in Norristown, Pennsylvania. This annual event, now in its 11th year, is dedicated to honoring the memory of Charles Bender, the original race director who tragically passed away in 2017. Registration is currently open for participants who wish to partake in the challenging swim courses offered.
Participants can choose from various distances, including an 8-mile swim, a 15K swim, and a 6-mile swim, each requiring kayaker support. The event promises a competitive atmosphere as swimmers navigate the currents of the Schuylkill River, with awards for the top finishers in each category. Attendees are reminded that there will be no race day registration and that online registration will close two days prior to the event.
