Race Description
The Catsmacker event is set to take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, starting at 7:00 AM at the Lake Sylvia Day Use Area in Perryville, Arkansas. This annual fun run offers participants the option to choose their distance, with the main event being approximately 20 miles, along with a shorter 12-mile Kitty Run. This donation-based run aims to cover event costs while supporting local non-profit AURA, with a suggested donation of $20.
Participants will navigate a course consisting of Forest Service roads and a segment of the celebrated Ouachita Trail, encountering various terrains such as gravel and trails. It is encouraged for attendees to prepare by printing course maps if they are not familiar with the area. The event includes a celebration with a cookout-style lunch following the race, making it a social gathering to conclude the racing season for Arkansas ultrarunners.
